Bearskin Lake First Nation is located approximately 400 kilometres northwest of Sioux Lookout, in the heart of Ontario’s north. A remote Oji-Cree community, Bearskin Lake is known for its resilient people, rich cultural traditions, and deep respect for the land. Its isolation has strengthened its self-reliance and sense of unity, qualities that continue to guide its social and economic development. The community is actively exploring opportunities in renewable energy, construction, and land-based tourism, alongside programs that enhance food security and digital access.
